Homemade Mac and Cheese

Homemade Mac and cheese has been a staple at my house since I was a little girl. I remember once for my birthday when I was in 3rd or 4th grade, I got to come home for lunch and my mom had made me this mac and cheese.  And it was amazing! It has always been a favorite. And now my kids love it! And now I am sharing it with you! Enjoy!

Ingredients
  1. Homemade Mac and Cheese
  2. 1/2 box of elbow macaroni
  3. 3 tbsp. butter
  4. 3 tbsp. flour
  5. 2/3 c. (give or take) milk
  6. 2 c. shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mixture of what you want)
Instructions
  1. Cook macaroni according to the box. Set aside in the pan.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt butter.
  3. Mix in flour until it is thick.
  4. Pour in the milk and mix until well blended.
  5. Set on very low heat to let it thicken. It will get thick and bubbly.
  6. Let it bubble for just a minute or two.
  7. Pour over noodles and mix well.
  8. Once all incorporated, mix in cheese.
  9. Pour into a 9x13 greased pan.
  10. Sprinkle any leftover cheese or more on top.
  11. Cook at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly around edges.
