Frosted Blender Brownies

Nothing is better than a good, frosted brownie! I typically don’t homemake brownies though.  Ghiradelli just can’t be beat! But since we didn’t have any boxed ones, I tried this one from Oh Sweet Basil! It was delicious and you can’t beat the frosting! Mmm…enjoy!

Frosted Blender Brownies

  1. 3/4 c. butter, melted
  2. 1/3 c. chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
  3. 1 1/2 oz. semi sweet baking chocolate
  4. 3 large eggs
  5. 1/2 c. cocoa powder
  6. 1 1/4 c. white sugar
  7. 1/4 c. brown sugar
  8. 1/4 tsp vanilla
  9. 3/4 c. plus 1 1/2 tbsp flour
  10. Additional 1 cup chocolate chips dusted with flour
Chocolate Frosting
  1. 1/2 c. butter, softened
  2. 4 c. powdered sugar
  3. 1/2 c. cocoa powder
  4. 1 tbsp vanilla
  5. 1/4-1/3 c. water (depending on desired thickness of frosting
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In blender, add butter, chocolate, and chocolate chips.
  3. Begin to blend, stop, add the eggs, cocoa, sugars, and vanilla and then blend again until smooth.
  4. Add flour. Pulse a few times.
  5. Add the flour dusted chocolate chips and fold into batter.
  6. Pour into greased 9x9 pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
For frosting
  1. Mix powdered sugar, butter and cocoa.
  2. Add in water and vanilla to desired thickness.
  3. Frost cooled brownies.
