Chocolate Chip Sprinkle Cookies

If there is one cookie recipe we make way too much, it is this one.  A certain 4 year old in the house requests these daily! I usually have some in the freezer for easy pleasing! They freeze fantastically and taste amazing! And if anyone wants some cookies, come on over! I can’t stop eating these!  Enjoy!

  1. 1 c. (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature
  2. 1 c. packed light brown sugar
  3. 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  4. 2 large eggs
  5. 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  6. 3 c. all purpose flour
  7. 1 tsp. baking soda
  8. 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  9. 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  10. 1/2 c. white chocolate chips
  11. 1/4 c. rainbow sprinkles
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar for 1 minute.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.
  4. Slowly add in baking soda and cream of tartar and flour to the sugar mixture until combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  7. Using a medium cookie scoop (or any size you want) scoop cookie dough onto prepared sheets, placing at least 1 inch apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cookies set for 3 minutes on cookie sheet before transferring them to wire rack to cool completely.
  1. The middle will be a little gooey still and that is perfect. They will continue to bake while sitting on the cookie sheet for a few minutes!
  2. These freeze like a dream! Just make up dough and then scoop onto parchment paper. Flash freeze in freezer for 1-2 hours and store in freezer ziplock bags!
